Late Apple Boss, Steve Jobs, was offered part of a healthy liver but turned down the offer

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook once offered part of his liver to his visionary boss, Steve Jobs, two years before he died of cancer, according a new biography.
 
The co-founder of the computer giant was in desperate need of a liver transplant in 2009 as he battled pancreatic cancer.
 
In the new 'Becoming Steve Jobs' book it claims Cook learnt he shared the same rare blood type as Jobs.
 
He visited the then Apple CEO at his home in Palo Alto, California to discuss his offer.

ISIS accepts Boko Haram's pledge of allegiance


In an audio message purportedly from an ISIS spokesman, the group announced that a pledge of allegiance from Nigerian-based Boko Haram has been accepted by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The 28-minute message, according to
CNN, was posted online by ISIS supporters. And it says that the caliphate, or Islamic State, has expanded to Western Africa and congratulated "our jihadi brothers" there.
 

“We announce to you to the good news of the expansion of the caliphate to West Africa because the caliph… has accepted the allegiance of  our brothers of the Sunni group for preaching and the jihad,” IS spokesman Mohammed al-Adnani said in the message, using the Arabic name of the Nigerian terror group.

Surgeons from the University of Stellenbosch (SU) and Tygerberg Hospital have performed the Surgeons from the University of Stellenbosch (SU) and Tygerberg Hospital have performed the world’s first successful penile transplant in a ground-breaking operation, said the university in a statement on Friday.

The team of surgeons, led by Prof AndrĂ© van der Merwe, head of SU’s Division of Urology, performed the marathon nine-hour operation in December last year.

NDLEA arrests single mother for inserting heroin in her private part

 
The NDLEA on Thursday arrested a 31-year-old single mother for concealing 430 grammes of heroin in her private part in a bid to avoid arrest. 
 
The Head of Public Affairs of the NDLEA, Mr Mitchell Ofoyeju, made the disclosure in a statement in Ikeja. 
 
He said the arrest took place at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos during the inward screening of passengers on an Emirates Airlines flight. 
 
The Commander of the NDLEA at the airport, Mr Hamza Umar, was quoted as saying that the arrest was facilitated with the aid of scanning machines.
