Chilling new threats from Taliban Commander ''Slim'', who ordered the massacre of more than 131 school children in Pakistan

After the massacre of more than 141 innocent people, 131 of them school children, Pakistani warplanes and ground troops raided and killed at least 77 of the militants in the tribal area close to the Afghanistan border.

The Taliban Commander nicknamed ''Slim'' in a new video has threatened to carryout more horrific attack like the last one.

As the Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif promised to destroy all form of terrorism, the Taliban Commander, Khalifa Omar Mansoor sent out a warning saying, ''If our women and children died as martyrs, your children will not escape.'

Ayodele Fayose has been affirmed as the winner of the Ekiti State Governorship election by the election tribunal

The Ekiti State governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja today affirmed the return of Governor Ayodele Fayose as the rightful winner of the governorship election conducted in Ekiti State in June 2014.

The panel held that the witnesses presented by the petitioner were unable to submit concrete evidence to support their claims of corrupt practises at the polling units.

A man dressed up as Santa Claus to take photos with children at an East London mall was fired after he allegedly fought his former father-in-law in front of customers.
 
According to the report, the alleged assault took place at Hemmingways Mall on Wednesday.
The father-in-law, Eugene Henning, told the newspaper he was listening to music while doing his Christmas shopping.

2face, Madinga to host AFRIMA 2014

Long reigning star artiste, 2face Idibia and Congolese Madinga Maria will both be hosting the forth coming All Africa Music Award, AFRIMA that will hold December 27th, 2014 at the Eko Hotel, Lagos according to the organizers.
 
AFRIMA was to hold last November but it was postponed due to logistic challenges.
 
Its Executive Producer, Mike Dada, however, says all is now set for the programme holding at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.

Four kidnappers of a hotel manager in Ikorodu, Lagos arrested by the police

Four members of a kidnapping gang who allegedly abducted Mr. Durodola Muwalu, the manager of Dam-Jay hotels in the Ikorodu area of Lagos have been arrested by the police.
 
Mr. Muwalu was kidnapped on December 4, at about 7pm while driving home to Itokun in Ikorodu, Lagos and was taken to a hideout in Imoru, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.  After which the gang members put a call to his family requesting for N60million ransom.
 
On Tuesday December 5th, 2014, the police eventually located the kidnappers hideout in Ijebu Ode and rescued the hotel manager.
 
 
 

Enough of your desperate tantrums - Bode George to Obanikoro

Chief Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of PDP has asked the Former Minister for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro to caution the way he speaks.  He has called on Obanikoro to end his verbal attack on his person.
 
In a statement yesterday, Chief Bode George said,  ‘’One has refrained from engaging Senator Musiliu Obanikoro despite his gross and alarmist provocations. I have deliberately remained distant and quiet, ignoring the stark obscenities of a desperate and obsessed man who is apparently incapable of absorbing the reality of his defeat by a well-bred and better man.
 
 

Two sentenced to death in Osun State for stealing fowls

Justice Jide Falola of an Osun State High Court sitting in Okuku has sentenced two robbers to death for stealing fowls.
 
The convicts, Olowookere Segun and Morakinyo Sunday, were found guilty of forcefully breaking into the house of one Mr. Balogun Tope, a police officer attached to Divisional Police headquarters, Okuku, in April 2010 and carting away some of his belongings.
 
 
 

Identical twins in Nigeria threatens to sue INEC over discrimination

Identical twins and other multiple births in Nigeria have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to intervene in their mass discrimination against them by INEC.  They stated that about 1,000 sets of identical twins in the country had been denied the Permanent Voter Cards due to failure of INEC’s biometric machines to distinguish their identities.
 
Addressing journalists in Abuja on this problem, joint presidents of United Twins and Multiple Births for Transformation in Nigeria, Akpos Mamuzee-Dixon and Ando Mamuzee-Dixon said they are presently experiencing the problem.  They said while Akpos has gotten his PVC Andos was not given because of the inability of INEC’s biometric machine to distinguish them.
