Kris and Bruce Jenner officially ends their 22-year marriage

Kris and Bruce who were together for 23 years has finalized their divorce.  A Los Angeles judge signed their documents making the couple officially single.

According to TMZ, they have divided up their assets.  Kris get to keep the family house with neither of them receiving spousal support since both children they had together are officially adults (Kendall is 19 and Kylie will be 18 in few months from now).  Also there was no need for custody agreement.  But she has to pay Bruce $2.5 million to equalize things. She will also get a 2012 Rolls Royce Ghost, a 2014 Bentley and  a 2014 Land Rover.

 

Bruce gets a 2011 Porsche 997 Coupe, a 2013 Cadillac Escalade and a 2007 Harley Motorcycle.

 

They both get to keep their airline mills.   

Governor Rotimi Amaechi is the Director-General of APC presidential campaign organization

In an effort to win the 2015 presidential election, the All progressive Congress today announced Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amechi as its Director-General of its presidential campaign organization.

 

In a statement, APC said Amaechi’s “outstanding reputation as a man of courage, principle, strength of character, decency and love of country, as well as his administrative prowess and organisational skills” combined to fetch him “perhaps the most important task” in the quest for positive change in Nigeria.

 

Balotelli given a one-match ban and to pay a fine of £25,000

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been given a one-match ban by the Football Association as punishment for his Super Mario post on social media.

The Italian, whose suspension comes into effect immediately, has also been fined £25,000 and must attend an education course.

 

The 24-year-old was charged under FA rule E3(1) for a post which appeared to contain anti-Semitic and racist references.

 

Elton John set to officially marry his partner David Furnish

Sir Elton John and his partner, Sir David Furnish are set to officially tie the knot this month.  They will officially marry in a private intimate ceremony at Windsor Estate.

 

Both men entered into a civil partnership on December 21, 2005.  They will also be using the opportunity to celebrate their nine-year anniversary.

 

In 2005, Elton John, 67, and David, 52, were among British first same-sex couples to tie the knot when civil partnership were granted.

Man to spend 63 years in jail for Stealing N4.9m

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has convicted and sentenced one Benjamin Segun Bright to 63 years imprisonment without option of fine.

 

 The convict was arraigned on July 10, 2012 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for stealing the sum of N4,994,000( Four Million, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand Nairaonly) from various investors, whom he deceived by making them believed that their money would be invested in his purported companies.

Suicide bomber kills policeman in Kabul Afghanistan

An Afghan police officer was killed and another three wounded today when a suspected suicide bomber they were following detonated the explosives in his vehicle.

 

Spokesman for the Kabul Provincial Police Chief, Abdul Rahman Rahimi said the suicide bombers intention was to detonate the explosives in a crowded part of the city.  The blast occurred after the police stopped the car.

 

The Taliban issued a statement to media claiming responsibility.
