Victoria Beckham has revealed all about her life in a new online video for Vogue.com.

In the 73 questions series she reveals her favourite drink, her best fashion secret and why she never smiles.

She said the first thing she does as soon as she wakes up in the morning is to check on her kids, goes for her workout by 6am.  Her favourite colour is sunset orange and 12 Years A Slave is the film that makes her cry the most.

25-year-old man in police custody for raping a great grandmother of 85years

Familola Ayodeji, 25, is currently in Ekiti State police custody for allegedly raping a 85-year-old great grandmother on 25th December, 2014.

 

Familola, a resident of 17 Oke Ido street was said to have sneaked into the old woman's room, locked the door and sexually assaulted her.

An Indian Guru ordered 400 of his followers to be castrated so they could get closer to God

The Indian police is currently investigating a guru who ordered 400 of his members to be castrated so as to bring them closer to God.

 

The country's top crime fighting agency registered a case against Gurmeet Ram Rahum, known as the ''guru in bling'' for his love for garish clothes and jewellery.  The case against him is criminal intimidation and causing grievous bodily harm after an alleged 400 castrations were ordered carried by him.

EFCC arrest two fraudsters over N500million oil scam

In what may be described as the biggest catch of the new year, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has smashed a syndicate of suspected fraudsters who duped their victims, within and outside Nigeria, over N300million in cases involving different fake crude oil deals.
 

Two members of the syndicate, Michael Oghenemi Morowie and Emmanuel Owoicho, are currently in the custody of EFCC, explaining their involvement in the alleged crude oil scam.  Continue the story after the cut......

AirAsia families to pay of crashed victims $100,000 as compensation

Signals from the black box of AirAsia flight ZQ8502 were detected today but the signals were lost soon after.  An Indonesian Force Commander stated that retrieving of the plane tail was in progress. 

 

The black box recorder could help determine what went wrong.  But it only has a life span of 30 days.  Those searching for it say they are just few hours from finding the black box.

 

News also came that families of victims of AirAsia QZ8501 will be offered $100,000 in compensation by the airline.

Another terror attack in Paris, Police woman killed, street sweeper seriously injured

A policewoman was shot in the back and killed, while a street sweeper was shot in the face in another attack on the street of Paris today.

The policewoman whose name is yet to be released died this morning in Montrouge a suburb in the South of the French capital.

The shot street sweeper who had stepped in to try and disarm the gunman is said to be in a critical condition after being shot in the face.

Power supply in Nigeria drops to 2,880MW

Power supply from the national grid to households and businesses in the country is said to have dropped to 2,880MW.

The decrease in power generation has been attributed to the sabotage of the Trans Forcados Pipeline on Sunday, 4 January 2015.The Special Adviser on gas to the Minister of Power, Mr. frank Edozie said, ''The reason power supply is down is that there is not enough gas and the reason there is not enough gas is because of sabotage of gas pipelines.''

Client offered us N300,000, say suspected assassins

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four suspected assassins for allegedly agreeing to kill a London-based Nigerian.

 

 

It was learnt that the suspects agreed to carry out the deed after they were promised N300,000 by their client.

 

The four suspects; Salami Afeez, Dare Akinyemi, Fatai Olunje and Taiwo Akinyemi; were apprehended in the Mushin area of the state on December 11, 2014, by operatives of the command’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad.  It was learnt that a police detective had gone undercover as a prospective client to be able to locate the hideout of the suspects.  Read more after the cut.....

 

Girl used as collateral for a loan by her father is now working for me - Creditor

Asuquo Etim, the 42-year-old man who took a 12-year-old daughter of Bakassi refugee, Mary Okon, as a collateral for a N600,000 loan, has said the girl works for him to feed his (creditor’s) family.
 

Mary’s father, Okon, had secured the loan from Etim in installments in 2013, with a view to saving the life of his first daughter, Blessing, who was diagnosed with blood cancer.  Read more of the story after the cut.....

Imam rapes 22-year-old, shaves her hair to make favour charm for her

An Imam, Rabiu Abdulquadri, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for shaving the pubic hair of a 22-year-old-girl and collecting her nails under the pretext of preparing a favour charm for her.

Lagos State Government steps into rape of 3-year-old, suspect rearrested

The Lagos State Government has intervened in the case of the alleged rape of three-year-old girl, Chinansa (pseudonym).

The Deputy Governor of the state, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, said the state government would ensure justice for the victim.

This is coming as the suspect, Hamzat Afeez, who was on bail, had been rearrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.  Read more after the cut ......

 

Killer brothers of the Charlie Hebdo massacre were Yemen trained assasins with links to terror group going back ten years

Seven people have been arrested in connection with the Charlie Hebdo massacre.  As two brothers involved with thte killing and linked to terrorist groups remain on the run.  They are Said Kouachi, 34, and brother Cherif Kouachi, 32, both from Paris.  The third assassin is Hamyd Mourad, 18, from Reims.

 

All three are French-Algerian Muslims and two of them (the Kouachi brothers) are still at large almost 24-hours after the gun battle in which two policemen died along with ten others, mainly the magazine staff.  Read more about the brothers after the cut.....
