According to the owner of the twitter handle, 'Lade  "@diaryofanewmum, the kidnappers of the Orekoyas three children have contacted the children's family and are currently negotiating with the family.  She also said the children and fine.

 

 

 

The Orekoya's three youngest children were kidnapped by a nanny the family employed through the OLX platform just 24 hours after she was employed.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian landed in their ancestral homeland last night. And the sisters have been busy sharing snaps of their first full day in the Armenian capital of Yerevan, as they visit the city's tourist spots with women thought to be their cousins.

It's the pair's first trip to the country that their late father Robert's side of the family called home before emigrating to the States, with the sisters gushing about getting back to their roots today.

As soon as they got down, the siblings hit a local park and ancient monuments with their cousins and other members of their extended family.

Air crash investigators examining a computer belonging to Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz are trying to determine whether the killer 'spiked' his captain's drink to force him into the toilet. 

Lubitz, 27, crashed the Airbus A320 passenger jet into the Alps changing the aircraft's altitude to just 100 feet using the autopilot, sending it on collision course. 

German prosecutors believe that Lubitz may have added a chemical to Captain Patrick Sodenheimer's coffee to remove him from the flight deck. 

Once Captain Sodenheimer closed the cockpit door, Lubitz enabled special security features preventing the reinforced door from reopening.

Hmmm!, Kendall has most definitely arrived on the couture scene and she wants everyone to know this.

But inside the magazine - in which she has an impressive 10-page feature - the 19-year-old reality star chose to talk not so much about high-end clothes, but rather about her more famous sibling, 34-year-old Kim Kardashian.

The South East will remain in the opposition

 

The PDP members from the South East at a crucial meeting they had at the residence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Enugu have all resolved to remain in the opposition party, PDP.

 Among those who attended the meeting where Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, Minister for State Col. Augustine Akobundu, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Senator Eyinnaya Abariba, Senator Gil Nnaji etc,

The group spokesperson, Col. Augustine Akobunde,  who is also the National Vice Chairman of PDP South East, while addressing the press shortly after the meeting said they were resolute in remaining in the party and that they are not contemplating moving to either the APC or any other party.

ISIS hackers hit French TV5 Monde station

French television network TV5Monde was forced to broadcast only pre-recorded programmes Thursday after an “unprecedented” hack by self-proclaimed Islamic State militants, who also hijacked its websites and social networks.

The Paris-based company, whose programmes are broadcast in more than 200 countries worldwide, was the target of a cyberattack that is “unprecedented for us and unprecedented in the history of television,” TV5Monde boss Yves Bigot told AFP.

“Since 5:00am (0300 GMT), we have only been able to put out a single programme on all our channels. For the moment, we are unable to produce our own programmes.

 We won’t be back up until 2 pm,” Bigot added. “When you work in television… and you find out that your 11 channels are down, of course that’s one of the most dreadful things that can happen to you,” he said.

Plane's landing gear falls off after touching down at East Midlands Airport

 

 

A terrible disaster was averted today when a Boeing 737 carrying 10 tonnes of freight from Charles de Gaulle Airport into UK had its landing gear broke off as the plane touched down causing it to slide 115m along the tarmac.

The plane, which had two crew and no passengers on board, eventually came to a stop after sliding down the tarmac.

Fortunately no-one was hurt in the accident, which was detailed today by the Air Accidents Investigations Board.

President Jonathan mourns Oronto Douglas

 

A press release came out from the presidency today stating that the president is deeply saddened by the death of his former aide, Oronto Douglas who passed on early this morning.

Those who have defected from PDP to APC are stomach politicians who lack integrity and morals - Gov. Babangida Aliyu

 

Governor Babangida Aliyu yesterday while addressing some local government chairmen who paid him a courtesy visit stated that he would rather resign from politics than defect to the APC or any other party.

He went further to refer to his political colleagues who have all being defecting to the APC in droves as lacking in morals, integrity and that they are suffering from poverty.

Driver who ignored a fatally injured woman by roadside, later discovered she is his mother

A driver, Mr. Zhang who ignored an injured elderly woman by the roadside later found out that the victim was his own mother, the Anhui Business Daily reported.

 

The man from Nanling county in Wuhu city was on his way to visit his mother early one morning last week when he spotted the badly hurt old woman next to the road.  He was quoted to have said he did not stop to render help saying, “My car does not have a dashboard recorder, so I didn’t stop,”

 

When he arrived at his mother’s house, neighbours told him she had left early to visit him. An ominous feeling came over him, and he immediately drove back to the place where the woman was lying.

Maid disappears with children just one day after being employed

 

The Orekoya family on Lawanson Road, Surulere, Lagos State says, presently, it has no reason to be happy.

This is because a nanny employed on March 7 by the household disappeared with three children a day after she was employed.

The names of the missing children are Aderomola, (11 months), Adedamola (4 years) and Demola (6 years).

The nanny, Mary Akinloye, a 23-year-old indigene of Ibadan, Oyo State, was said to have been contracted via OLX, an online sales portal.
