Chidinma dedicate her new song to her mother Mrs. Martha Ekile

Oh Lovely!  Our kekedike queen, Chindima has dedicated her latest song to her mother Mrs. Martha Ekile.

She said at birth doctors certified her blind, and that her mother for fifteen nights held her in her arms crying uncontrollably while her husband  called on God to bless little Chidinma with sight.  On the 16th day she miraculously opened her eyes.

Chidinma has therefore decided to dedicate her life catering for the visually impaired/blind people with her newly formed NGO Mma Charity Foundation.


By 2050, nobody will be having sex to make babies

The man behind the contraceptive pill that so many of us rely on today has said that by 2050, we'll all be enjoying sex for sex's sake, and having babies through IVF.
 
Professor Carl Djerassi told the The Sunday Telegraph said that he believes the Pill will also become obsolete because in the future men and women will freeze their eggs and sperm at a young age before choosing to be being sterilised.
 

President Jacob Zuma of South Africa to answer corruption charges

The South African President, Jacob Zuma is presently under investigation for his role in excessive refurbishment of his personal estate using public funds.  This was confirmed by parliamentary lawmakers today.
 
This comes after a South African prosecutor published a report in March 2014 accusing the president of benefiting unduly from security upgrades at this residence and should therefore be made to pay back a total of $24million.

Breaking News: Boko Haram captures Maiha town in Adamawa State this evening

According to Sahara Reporters, Boko Haram has captured the town of Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Based on report from a resident, the insurgents attacked the town at about 5.30pm today.  He also said many soldiers and two civilians were killed in the attack with many seriously injured.

Report also have it that many people are now fleeing into neighbouring Belah and also crossing the boarder into Cameroon.

A woman who refused blood transfusion because she is a memeber of the Jehovah Witness sect dies

Adeline Keh, 40, suffered a fatal infection after giving birth by Caesarean Section to her son at the Homerton Hospital in East London.  She was said to have refused blood transfusion saying it was against her religion.  She is a member of the Jehovah Witnesses sect.
 
Investigation into the deal of Mrs. Keh found her decision to refuse blood may have compromised final medical intervention.

The 45-year-old Jennifer Lopez covered up her toned tummy for a trip to the cinema with her two kids, Max and Emme to see Big Hero 6 in Calabasas, California.

Naomi was all elegance at a charity art auction in New York

Super model Naomi Campbell, was a sight to behold at the Project Perpetual's art auction held at the Four Seasons Restaurant New York last night.

She cut an elegant figure in a purple chiffon dress which featured a flattering low neck line and frail detailing in the sleeves, burst and hemline.  Her hair was a sleek bob with fringes.

AP has featured some photographs from the scene of the bomb blast which occurred today at the Government Secondary School in Potiskum, Yobe State.

47 students have so far been confirmed dead, while more than 79 injured.

Some of the injured are receiving treatment at the Potiskum General Hospital.







School bus with students crashes

More than 20 people have been taken to hospital - including a woman in intensive care - after a school bus "gave way" on a grass verge and rolled down an embankment on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford Midlands UK shortly after 8.20am.
 
The driver and 25 passengers - most of them young children - were taken to Hereford County Hospital with cuts and bruises. Some are thought to have suffered possible fractures.
 
A doctor who had been treating some of the victims taken to the hospital said it was a "distressing scene".  He said there had been "a lot of minor bumps and bruises" and "a number of potentially more seriously injured casualties".  "A lot of children were covered in mud, a few of them were bleeding," he said.  "We're just very glad that the vast majority of children involved have minor injuries."
 
 

Pope Francis receives President of Ghana

Pope Francis received the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama today at the Vatican.

During the cordial discussion, the parties noted the good relations between the Holy See and Ghana and underlined the positive contributions offered by the catholic church in the social, educational and healthcare spheres, as well as in relation to the promotion of dialogue between the different members of society.




Nigerian Military Helicopter Crashes In Adamawa State

A Nigerian helicopter is said to have crash-landed in Damare town in Adamawa State.

it as revealed that the crash chopper was carrying military hardware and some military advisers to the frontline in Adamawa State when it crashed.  No causality was recorded.

Oscar Pistorius will not be part of the prison tag scheme because he has no ankle - Prison Authorities

It is revealed that Oscar Pistorius may be denied early release from prison because he does not have an ankle to attach an electronic tag.
 
The Paralympian, 27, was given a five-year sentence for the manslaughter of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria South Africa.
 
He had hoped to qualify for a home detention curfew with a tag after 10 months.  But prison authorities have stated that Oscar is not eligible for their tagging scheme because he has no ankle to which they can attach the device.  And that putting such tags on offenders wrist is out of the question because it can easily be removed.  They also said such tags cannot be used on false limbs because such limbs can be left somewhere static while the offender goes missing.
 

Woman who was crushed with a bus by husband dies

Dupe Ikharia, 30-year-old who was ran over with a bus by her husband last week over missing N2000 is dead.  She was said to have died at the traditional home where she was receiving treatment at about 6.30pm on Friday, November 7.

Lucky Ikharia, the deceased husband had last week used a bus to run over his wife after an argument over missing N2000.  He then rushed home and stabbed their one-year-old son, David to death.

It was confirmed that Dupe sustained extensive wounds which affected her spinal cord as well as one of the bones around her neck.

Her remain have been deposited at the Yaba mortuary.

Khloe Kardashian who was in a party mood to celebrate her on/off boyfriend's 30th birthday, French Montana obviously had a wardrobe malfunction.  But the question is, was it a deliberate act?
 
With those famous Kardashian curves, 30-year-old Khloe was braless under the semi-sheer midnight blue gown which featured a Grecian styled one shoulder detail and a thigh high slit.
 
Earlier that day, Khloe posted a flashback instagram photograph wishing him a happy birthday as she told her fans she will be celebrating with him that night.
 
The pair are yet to officially confirm that they are back together after going their separate ways in September.  Though French Montana had made series of comments about him still caring for his ex.

An early morning explosion in a school in Potiskum has claimed the lives of at least 20 students

An early Monday morning explosion that hit Comprehensive Secondary School Potiskum in Yobe state has claimed the lives of at least 20 students and many others injured.

The explosion occurred as students of the Comprehensive Secondary School were on assembly ground.

As at the time of filing this report, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Driver arrested by Gov. Fashola for driving against traffic

It was an unlucky day for an employee of the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA), Israel Onyemaechi, who was personally arrested by the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola for driving against traffic.
 
Friday committed the offence on Awolowo Road, Ikorodu.
 

Out going PDP governors reject deputies as successors

Thirteen outgoing governors of  PDP have all rejected the proposal for their deputies to succeed  them.  Some of these governors are those of Abia (Theodore Orji), Akwa Ibom(Godswill Akpabio), Bauchi (Isa Yuguda), Benue (Gabriel Suswam ), Cross River (Liyel Imoke), Delta (Emmanuel Uduaghan) and Enugu (Sulivan Chime).

Boko Haram Update: New video showing the capture of a new town by the insurgents

A Boko Haram video obtained by AFP shows the capture of an unnamed town by the insurgents.  The video also showed the supposedly dead Abubakar Shekau preaching to residents of the town.
 
Abubakar Shekau in the 44-minutes video also boasted to have captured a caliphate in Nigeria and extend support for other so called caliphates including the ones proclaimed in Iraq and Syria by the ISIS group.
 
This time around, the video shows a close-up and very clear shots of Abubakar Shekau.
 
The video was obtained by AFP through the same channels as past messages.
 
 

Myles Munroe, wife and daughter dies in a plane crash

Prolific best selling author and internationally renowned motivational speaker, Myles Munroe died last night (Nigeria time) along with his wife, Ruth Ann Munroe and daughter Charisa in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
 
The crash which also claimed the lives of several people happened on Sunday afternoon (midnight Nigeria time) the Bahamian Aviation Ministry confirmed.  The plane, a Lear 36 executive departed the Lynden Piddling International Airport (LPIA) in Nassau, Bahamas at 4.07pm for the Grand Bahamas International Airport in Freeport, Bahamas with nine people on board.
