Three crew members died in latest helicopter crash

A statement form the Nigeria Defence revealed that the Nigerian Air force helicopter which crashed last night around the premises of the Federal University of Technology, Yola killed three crew members on board.

The helicopter crashed 200 kilometres from the place where Nigerian troops have been battling Islamic insurgents few minutes after its take off.

The Super Eagles Players this morning arrived the Point Noire airport, Congo for their AFCON qualifying match against their Congolese counterpart holding tomorrow.

They arrived in a chartered Discovery Airplane led by the new NFF Chairman, Amaju Pinnick.

New powers to UK Border Security to prevent fighters for terrorist groups from re-entry the UK

David Cameron have presented a Fast-Tracked Counter Terrorism Bill before the parliament which will be debated later this month.

The bill is to empower the state authorities to be able to enforce certain rules against any UK citizen who goes abroad to fight for any terrorist group.

  • Passports of UK nationals suspected of travelling abroad to fight for terror groups, including Islamic State, will be cancelled or confiscated.
  • Border guards and airport police would be given powers to seize the passports from individuals suspected of planning to travel abroad for terrorism purposes.

Equatorial Guinea has just been declared the new host for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.  He replaces Morocco who declined to host the tournament at the eleventh hour due to fear of the Ebola virus that have been ravaging West Africa since February 2015.


Tracking device for Prince George

It is said Prince George has become a great adventurer, exploring the whole of Kensington palace.  And to be able to find him, his father, Prince William received the perfect device for this - a set of Christmas bells.

On a recent visit to London Imperial War Museum's 10th Anniversary Gala, some adorable children gave Prince William a set of Christmas bells.  And immediately Prince William knew who those bells will be for - Prince George, to track his whereabouts at any point in time.
 
William said to the children,  ''We will put these in Prince George's pockets''.  Then we will know where he is in the house''.

Man in police net for the death of a 7-month pregnant lover after a sex bout

A man in Anambra State is undergoing investigation following the sudden death of a 7-month pregnant woman.
 
According to the police, the man had taken the pregnant woman to a hotel in Onitsha on Tuesday evening, and by Wednesday morning, the woman was found to be dead.
 
Sources in the area said both the man and the pregnant woman were lovers.  And it is believed both went into the hotel for a marathon sex bout.  And that she may have died out of exhaustion.
 

Charles Novia blasts Chika Ike's manager, calls on tax authourities to look into celebrities earnings

Some weeks back, Chika Ike's manager, Serah Donald took to the social media to blast Charles Novia for criticising their recent outing (Chika Ike and herself) in Dubai and Turkey.
 
Charles Novia had earlier criticised them for flaunting their wealth on social media which he said was vain and egotistical.
 
In a three-page reply to Serah's insults and blabbing titled ''A Salvo for Serah'' obtained by HVP, Charles maintained that Serah was only an ''industry lap-dog'' and as one of Nollywood best and with several hit Nollywood films to his credit, he has the right to be the voice of the industry to upcoming artists.

Obiageli Ezekwesili who was an invited guest at the National Convention of the Foursquare Gospel Church, which took place at the Foursquare Camp, Ajebo, Ogun State said when she was a minister, there were times she could not pay her mother's rent.  She said integrity comes with its cost.
 

Armed robbers who became cultists and robbers while in primary school caught by the police

The Lagos State Police Command, Special Anti-Robbery Squad on November 2, arrested Abraham Nsong, Bright Chukwuemeka and Dare Adetunji, all members of an armed robbery gang.  The three member gang were said to have become cultists and robbers right from their primary school days.
 
They were apprehended  when they went to rob at Salvation Street, Oke Odo, Iyana Isashi Lagos.  According to the police, a locally made gun, a pistol and three knives where recovered from them.
