Hajia Aisha Buhari's convoy attacked in Kwara State

 
According to reports, the convoy of Hajia Aishat Buhari was attacked today in Ilorin.  With over 10 vehicles vandalized in the process.

Mrs. Buhari, who was returning from a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari was attacked with her entourage. 
 
 The Kwara State APC chairman, Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani, during a media briefing, confirmed the attack and accused a PDP leader in the state  of being the brain behind the attack.
 

Ex-Nigeria U-17 coach dies after battling with stroke for 12years


Willy Bazuaye, former head coach of Nigeria U-17 has finally succumb to stroke after battling with the illness for 12 years.

He passed on today, 16th March 2015 at University of Benin Teaching Hospital.  He was aged 79.

Willy Bazuaye became a household name when he coached the then U-17 team to win the gold medal in 1996.

Facebook slaps ban on fully exposed rear ends and genitals, say it will remove such images

Facebook has created a new rule book that tells users the sort of content they can and can't post on the site, including a ban on images of 'fully exposed' buttocks.
Now, the social media hub has clarified its policies with a new Community Standards section of the website. 
This includes clarification that some nudity is allowed for artistic purposes, but images of genitals or buttocks will be taken down.

Dolce & Gabbana respond to Elton John's call for boycott of their brand

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have responded to Elton John's calls for fans to boycott their brand. The British singer took exception to comments that the duo made about children born into a non-traditional family, calling the designers "out of step with the times".

"We firmly believe in democracy and the fundamental principle of freedom of expression that upholds it," Gabbana said in a statement. "We talked about our way of seeing reality, but it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love."

Court restrains AIT from broadcasting defamatory documentary about Tinubu

 
According to an APC official, the High Court of Lagos State presided over by Honourable Justice Akinkugbe I.O. has granted an injunction restraining Daar Communications, owners of AIT  from broadcasting, transmitting or airing any documentary titled "The Lion of Bourdillon" on Tinubu pending the determination of "The Motion on Notice".

Woman has sex with 12 strangers in a year with her husband's full consent

 
A middle-aged woman had sex with 12 strangers in a year with her husband's consent following a midlife crisis.

Robin Rinaldi, 50, embarked on the 12-month experiment after vowing she would not die childless having slept with just four men.

Married to Scott for 18 years, Ms Rinaldi, a journalist aged 44 at the time, decided to embark on a journey of sexual discovery, the details of which she has detailed in a memoir called 'The Wild Oats Project."

For 12 months the couple had an 'open' marriage, with her living away from the marital home during the week, and the couple sleeping with other people.

American who contracted Ebola while in Sierra Leone in critical condition


The American health care worker who contracted Ebola while volunteering in a Sierra Leone treatment unit has been downgraded to critical condition at the National Institutes of Health, doctors said Monday.

The agency said in a statement that the patient's status was changed from serious condition to critical condition, meaning the person's condition has apparently worsened. The patient is being treated at the National Institutes of Health's hospital near Washington.

Police in China disrupts Rugged Man's show, arrested many Nigerians with expired visa


Rugged Man's tour of China has suffered a setback.  It was revealed according to Net.ng that his show which took place in Guangzhou was disrupted by the police who stormed the venue of the show and put a stop to it.

Sources revealed that the police were invited by a competing promoter who was said to be jealous of the high turn out for the events.

Unfortunately, many Nigerians with expired visas were said to have been arrested.

Kenyan singer and wife of Pastor Anselm Madubuko, Emmy Kosgey, are confirmed to be expecting their first child together.
 
In an interview with WordIS and Mpasho.com, she also refuted the rumour that her marriage to the popular Nigerian pastor has hit the rocks.
 
"Everything (in our marriage is going on normally and becoming even better everyday. The rumours (about divorce) were just dubious and malicious, propagated by people of bad will. People talk a lot of things and much of that is very untrue. But I never dwell on such thing. My marriage is intact and yes, there is a baby on the way" she said.

Court says restriction of movement during sanitation exercise in Lagos State is illegal


A Federal High Court in Lagos has declared as unlawful the restriction of citizens’ movement during the monthly Lagos environmental sanitation exercise. 

Justice Mohammed Idris, in a judgment delivered on Monday, held that such restriction of movement, in the name of sanitation, amounted to a violation of the citizens’ right to personal liberty and freedom of movement protected by sections 35 and 41 of the Constitution. 

He therefore voided the power of the Lagos State Government and its agent to arrest any citizen found moving between 7am and 10am on the last Saturday of every month when the environmental sanitation exercise is observed

 

Police arrest Alfa for assaulting a teenage girl


The police in Lagos State have arrested an Islamic cleric, Abdullahi Omobolaji, a.k.a Alfa, for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 17-year-old teenager, Idowu (pseudonym), in the Agege area of the state.
The incident happened on Bakare Lane where the victim lived with her mother and siblings.
Although Alfa lived in Abule Egba, he had a room apartment on Bakare Lane where he received clients, who seek him out for spiritual help.

Lekki bank robbery: we know the robbers - Police

 
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kayode Aderanti over the weekend stated that they have an idea of who the robbers that robbed a second generation bank at Lekki last week are.  He said the police would soon round all of them up. 
 
During the robbery incident, three policemen and a female teenager were killed.

Elton John has called for the boycott of Dolce & Gabbana fashion for labelling his IVF children ''Chemical and Synthetic"

The singer has called for a boycott of fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana after they dismissed children born via IVF as 'synthetic'.

Sir Elton, who has two sons with his husband with the help of a surrogate and artificial insemination, has joined a campaign to snub the D&G brand after the Italians called such children 'chemical' offspring.
Posting a picture of the designers – who were a couple for 23 years – on photo sharing website Instagram yesterday, Sir Elton wrote: 'How dare you refer to my beautiful children as "synthetic".
