Ebuka Obi-Uchendu set to wed the daughter of The Young Shall Grow Motors


Ebuka has proposed to his girlfriend, Cynthia Obianodo, the beautiful daughter of millionaire, Vincent Obianodo, the boss/owner of The Young Shall Grow Motors.

Rihanna in a see through braless top as she leaves Giorgio Baldi's restaurant in santa Monica

 

Rihanna was seen in Santa Monica in a see through top and without a bra on Tuesday night.

The outing was the first time the singer had been seen since a video emerged which appeared to show her preparing a suspicious substance and holding her nose at the Coachella music festival.

The 27-year-old was pictured leaving one of her favourite restaurants in Santa Monica, Giorgio Baldi, where she is often pictured.  See  more photos.

Court lift ban on Obasanjo's book ''My Watch''

 
A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo, Abuja, has lifted an injunction barring former President Olusegun Obasanjo from publishing his autobiography, ‘My Watch’.
 
Justice Valentine Ashi ordered  ‎on the release of the books which had been  in the custody of the Nigerian Customs Service.
 
The books were intercepted by the Nigerian Customs on the strength of the court injunction which was granted on December 10, 2014.
 

Prince Charles among those who paid tributes to the girl dubbed ''the 100-year-old teenager''

 
 
Prince Charles has led tributes to the girl dubbed the '100-year-old teenager' as hundreds of mourners gathered for her funeral.
 
In a letter to Hayley Okines's grieving parents Charles described the 17-year-old progeria sufferer, who died earlier this month, as 'an inspiration to millions'. 

In his letter the Prince said he had been 'deeply impressed by her incredible spirit and her infectious love of life' when they met at the Children of Courage event at Westminster Abbey in 2004.

INEC schedules Imo State governorship supplementary election for April 25th


INEC has fixed the Imo State governorship supplementary election for 25th April in 256 polling units across 23 local government area.
Addressing a news conference at the INEC headquarters in Owerri today, the Imo State capital in south-east Nigeria, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo State, Gabriel Ada, said the commission was more prepared and ready to conduct the supplementary election.
He stated that the card reader would be used for accreditation of voters during the elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner also gave the reasons for declaring the April 11 elections in Imo State as inconclusive.
The election was declared inconclusive by the commission due to the number of cancelled votes, 144,715, in relation to the margin of win, 79,529, by the incumbent governor and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rochas Okorocha.  
Mr Ada said that for the House of Assembly election held on April 11, six local government areas were declared inconclusive while results from 21 other local government areas were announced.

Appointment into my government will be based on integrity, competence, capacity and capability - El-Rufai


 
El-Rufai, Kaduna State Governor-Elect received his Certificate of Return today from INEC in Kaduna.
El-Rufai, shortly after receiving the certificate, said appointments into his government would strictly be based on merit.
He noted that the criteria for those that would form his cabinet, after being sworn into office on May 29, would be based on integrity, competence and transparency.
“Appointments and nominations into the incoming cabinet and government will be primarily on the basis of integrity and determined strictly by competence, capacity and capability,” he said.

God said he will restore Nigeria's glory - Osinbajo' Mother

 
Madam Olubisi Osinbajo, the mother of the Vice President-elect, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, said on Wednesday that God had revealed to her that Nigeria’s lost glory would be restored.
Mrs. Osinbajo, 80, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that God also revealed to her that the successful and positive change of government would guarantee peace and tranquillity in the country.
 She said, “I give God all the glory for the success of the elections.
“It came to me that God said He will restore Nigeria and everybody in the world will rejoice with Nigeria.
“Today, when I was praying, I saw this, do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. That is what God said to Nigeria.

CBN cuts ATM cardholders spending abroad to $50,000 per annum


The Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday slashed the naira debit cardholders’ spending overseas from $150,000 to $50,000 per annum.
The development came less than one week after the bank announced plans to reduce naira debit cardholders’ spending abroad due to inadequate foreign exchange to pay for rising amount of cardholders’ overseas spending.
The central bank, in a circular dated April 13 and entitled: ‘Usage of naira denominated cards overseas’, asked dealers and the general public to take note of the development.
The circular, signed by the Director, Trade and Exchange, CBN, Mr. Olakanmi Gbadamosi, also directed Deposit Money Banks in the country to peg their customers’ daily cash withdrawals overseas at $300.

Male contestant expelled from South Africa version of Big Brother for allegedly raping a female housemate

 
A contestant on the South African version of Big Brother has been expelled from the show after being accused of raping a fellow housemate.
 
Siyanda Ngwenya, known as Adams, allegedly attacked the female contestant while she was asleep after a drunken night of partying in the house in Johannesburg.
 
The pair were last seen on TV kissing and cuddling in bed before the cameras moved away.
 
Ngwenya reportedly boasted to housemates the next day that he had sex with the woman
 
However, the alleged victim is said to have been shocked by the claims and reportedly told female contestants that she did not consent to having sex. 

OLX respond to the kidnapping of the Orekoya boys

 
The story of the three Orekoya boys who were kidnaped by their nanny have engulfed the internet for more than one week.  Also the parents of the boys stated that the nanny responded to a recruitment advert they placed on OLX, an online platform.  The boys were said to have been reunited with their parents yesterday.

I will not congratulate Wike, the election was a daylight robbery - Gov. Amaechi to Obonikoro

 
Governor Amaechi of Rivers State have said it over and over again that there was no election in Rivers State.  That what took place on election day was pure daylight robbery of the peoples mandate by PDP. 
 
In reaction to a call from the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, that he Amaechi should take a clue from the way he, Obonikoro congratulated Ambode of Lagos State as the winner, and also congratulate Wike as governor-elect of Rivers State.  Amaechi took to his twitter page to reply Obanikoro saying he will not congratulate Wike because PDP simply stole the peoples mandate.

The Orekoya kidnapped children have been found


The heart breaking story of the kidnap of the Orekoya children by a nanny who was employed for just only 24 hours before she kidnapped the children was all over the social media throughout last week.

Giving God Almighty all the Glory! the mother of the children posted on her facebok page the good news that the children have been found.

Although there was no mention if any ransom was paid as demanded by the kidnapper.
