A source said the decision was a s a result of allegations of nonchalant attitude of the national leadership of the party in Ogun State.  And the failure of the party's leadership to resolve all issues which emanated from the December 8 governorship primaries in the state

In his divorce docs ... filed in NJ last Tuesday ... Rock complains that Malaak has been preventing him from seeing their 2 daughters on a regular basis. He is asking for shared legal and physical custody of 12-year-old Lola and 10-year-old Zahra.

 

Scotland confirms first case of Ebola

A healthcare worker who has just returned from West Africa has been diagnosed with the Ebola virus and is being treated in the Garnavel General Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland.

The woman, who arrived from Sierra Leone on Sunday night has been placed on isolation at the Hospital.

All possible contacts with her are being investigated, including contacts on the flights she took to Scotland via Heathrow.

Another Air Disaster averted at Gatwick Airport

A Virgin Atlantic passenger plane landed safely at London Gatwick Airport after reporting technical issues with part of its main landing gear.

 

The aircraft, VS043 with 447 passengers and 15 crew was traveling from Gatwick to Las Vegas when it was forced to make a return.

 

The Boeing 747 circled over Devon and Sussex in Southern England for hours to burn off fuel before making a bumpy but safe landing by 4pm Nigerian time.

We did not rob; we only collected our dues - Arrested Suspects

The police have arrested four suspected robbers who operates at the Alaba International Market, Ojo Lagos, who claimed they do not steal from the traders, but only came to collect their dues

Punch,  learnt that the suspects- Onyenge Osanie, Azuka Eboh, Ezelonwu Michael and Afolabi Shakiru- were nabbed by the police while they were looting some shops and robbing traders at the Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos.

It was learnt that the suspects, who are four members of a ten-man gang, were arrested by operatives of the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad on December 20. 

Former President Obasanjo has sympathy for us - APC

The All Progressives Congress has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is sympathetic to the cause of the party because of his desire for positive change in 2015.

 

The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the APC,   Lawal Shuaibu, said this during na interview in Abuja on Sunday.

 

Shuaibu said, “We don’t have any connection with Obasanjo other than Obasanjo sympathizes with anybody that could effect change in this country. “He is not a member of our party mind you, he is still a Peoples Democratic Party man but for the fact that he is a former democratic President in this country people listen to him.

 

I lost my University Cetificates to Fire - VP Namadi Sambo

Vice President Namadi Sambo has stated that he lost both his Bechelor and Masters degree certificates which he obtained from the Ahmadu Bello University to fire.

 

He made this declaration to INEC on the documents he filed before the commission in its headquarters in Abuja.  Although the details of the fire were not given.

 

Sambo’s documents which he filed showed to have been received by the commission on 10^th December and stamped on 18^th December 2014.
