Rooney posted some pictures on his instagram page with the caption ''time to do a song at the Manchester United Christmas Party.''  he was seen singing away at the Manchester United Christmas party.

In the picture, Rooney is seen with a look of concentration on his face.

His wife Coleen and other Manchester United players and officials were present.

Nyanya bomb suspect, ogwuche is asking for N100million as compensation from the Federal Government

The April 14 2014 Nyanya bomb suspect Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche through his lawyer Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN) has asked the court to compel the Federal Government to pay him the sum of N100million as compensation for his unlawful detention.
 
Ogwuche insist that this continued detention in the custody of the Department of State Security amounts to a gross abuse of his fundamental human rights as stated in the 1999 constitution.

Deadly twin blasts rock Baghdad's Shia area

At least 13 people have been killed and 23 injured in two car bombs that went off in the Sadr district of Iraq's capital Baghdad at about 6.30pm today.
 
Police officials said the first attack targeted a line of small restaurants of Sadr. Minutes later, the second blast went off near an outdoor market in the same district.

For that of 2014, the 20 Young Power Women in Africa includes Nigeria own Ada Osakwe, Adiat Dis, Amy Jadesimi, Rimini Makama, Yasmin Bello Osagie and Toyosi Akerele.   Other Africans include Kenyan Naisula Lesuuda, Yvnne Khamati and Irene Koki Mutungi.  South Africans are Tebogo Meshego, Phumzile Van Damme, Naadiya Moosajee etc.


Bomb Scare: Tragedy averted as police defuse bomb near primary school

Hundreds of students and parents were today saved from a terrible tragedy when about one kilogramme of explosives, 22cm long and cylindrical in shape was diffused by the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Nigerian Police.  The explosives were said to have been planted near the Tin City Primary School in Jos, the Plateau State capital today.
 
The students and adults within the vicinity were dispersed and the device defused with disposal experts saying the fuse on the bomb had been lit, but went out before it could cause an explosion.   Apparently the homemade device was not remote controlled.
 
Police investigations have suggested the device was met to blow up the cash machine that was nearby.
 
 
 

PDP suspends its former Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur from the party

The People Democratic Party has suspended its former chairman, Bamanga Tukur from the party. 
 
A press release issued today stated that the party National Working Committee after reviewing his activities again the current Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu decided to suspend him from the party.

Prince William and Catherine Middleton are expecting a baby girl

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is said to be expecting a baby girl for her second child, according to a new report.  She is expected to deliver by early next year.
 
An all-pink baby shower with pink-iced cupcakes, pink cocktails and a huge white cake was held for her.  The cupcakes were filled with Strawberry filling.  Her sister Pippa was part of the team who planned the baby shower.
 

Zaaki Azzay welcomes a bouncing baby boy into their family

Nigeria popular touch carrying musician, Zaaki Azzay and his new wife Hembadoon have welcomed a baby boy into their family.   The bundle of joy arrives in the early hours of Sunday November 22, 2015 at the Federal Staff Hospital, Jabi Abuja.   Mother and child are said to be in good health and have been discharged.

Bajoga town in Gombe State under attack by Boko Haram

According to reports, the extremists Boko haram are currently attacking Bajoga town in Gombe State.
 
residents said they could her sounds of gun shots and explosions and that they were hurriedly leaving to the outskirts of the town.
 
The town, Bajoga host the Ashaka cement factory.  A similar attack was carried out at the factory last month which saw four Toyota Hilux vans loaded with explosives carted away by the insurgents.

Peter Piot, an award winning microbiologist, and the person who co-discovered the Ebola virus in 1976 has stated that the World Health Organisation (WHO) mismanaged the current outbreak response.  He said, “we wasted too much precious time".
 
"It took three months for the WHO to find out there was an Ebola outbreak. That I understand. Guinea had a poor laboratory infrastructure.  "I have much more of a problem with the fact that it took five months for WHO, for the international health regulations committee, to declare a state of emergency.’’

Kelly Rowland's mum dies at 66

Singer Kelly Rowland, 33, has lost her mum to the cold hands of death barely one month after welcoming her son.
 
Doris Rowland Garrison died at the age of 66 years only few weeks after welcoming Kelly's first son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon.
 
In a statement, Kelly described her mother as an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices.  And that she would have been 67 years December 6, few days from the day she died.

Al Qaeda in a new video threatens to execute British born American journalist

Yemini affiliate of Al Qaeda has released a three-minute video showing 33-year-old Luke Somers, a British born American journalist.
 
In the video Al Qaeda threatens to kill the journalist within three days if the US government refused to see to their demands.
 
The broadcast featuring Nasser bin Ali al Ansi, a senior official in Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) warns President Obama to either accept their groups demands or have the hostage Luke Somers meet the inevitable fate.  In the video, Nasser bin Al with his face uncovered reads out demands in Arabic.

The Evboriaria Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ikpoba Okha, Benin City Edo State has remanded in prison custody a 27-year old man, Austin Okonkwo for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl with Down Syndrome. 

 

RCCG Annual Holy Ghost Congress will not be allowed to be turned into a campaign event

Pastor Ola Adejubee, Poastor-In-Charge RCCG Lagos Province 12 while fielding questions during the press conference to announce the Annual Holy Ghost Congress said politicians will be kept at arm’s length during the programme.  But he however said, President Jonathan if he chooses to attend will be allowed to address his subjects, not necessarily to campaign. 
 
He said, “The church is for everybody. Members of all political parties are members of this church. Everything will be done for the congress not to be turned into a campaign ground. 
 
 

13-year-old girl elopes with suspected lover

A 13-year-old girl, Chikwuo Ezennia has been declared missing by the police.  Chikwuo Ezzenia who is in Basic 4 is said to have fled the house with a yet to be identitied  man suspected to be her lover.
 
The girl who was living with relatives in an apartment on shola Bello Close, Iyalla, Alausa Ikeja disppearead on November 20 after her relatives had left the house for work. 
 
 

Nine killed as suspected Fulani gunmen attack Ashige Community in Nasarawa State

Nine persons were said to have been killed and many more injured as suspected Fulani gunmen yesterday evening at about 5pm attacked Ashige Community of Lafia East Development Area in Nasarawa State.
 
The Ak 47 wielding Fulanis were said to have attacked farmers who were returning home after laying ambush for them around the Ashangwa river.
 
 

Nigeria is the 136th Most Corrupt Country in the world

According to the corruption index for 2014 released yesterday Nigeria was ranked the 136th most corrupt country in the world with 27 points and 3rd in West Africa after Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
 
Transparency International surveyed 174 countries based on how corrupt their public sector is presumed to be.  The measurement is based on a scale of 0-100 with a score of 0 being the lowest (most corrupt) and 100 being the least corrupt.
 
This 2014 ranking is the best attained by Nigeria so far under the Goodluck Jonathan's administration.
 

Protesters storms PDP National Secretariat Abuja with coffin to protest against Wike and others

Angry PDP members from Rivers State took over the party's secretariat offices yesterday at Abuja.  They chased out the National Chairman Adamu Mu'azu and other members of the National Working Committee from their offices.
 
They said they were protesting against the former Minister for Education, Nyesom Wike and the National Vice Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus.
