Obasanjo wants to run my government - President Jonathan



President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, described former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s attacks on him as the consequence of his failure to surrender his administration to the former leader.
 
Responding to the tirades of the former president last week, President Jonathan said Obasanjo was so bent on controlling his protégées that he would not mind installing the devil in power so long as he can control him.

Bricklayer hacks neighbour to death over generator fumes

A 29-year-old bricklayer, Ibrahim Tijani, has hacked to death his neighbour, Bashorun Okanla, for complaining about fumes emanating from his generator.  The incident happened in the Okun Ajah, Ogombo area of Lagos State.
 
The suspect, an indigene of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, and the deceased lived in an uncompleted building.
 
On the fateful day, Tijani was said to have turned on his generator around 11am, while the fumes escaped into the room of the 57-year-old carpenter.

Man rapes 4-year-old girl in Lagos


 
A 25-year-old man, Kingsley Churchill, has been arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for raping a four-year-old girl.
 
It was gathered that the victim was raped on January 24, 2015 at her parents’ house on Adeshokan Street, Ayobo, Lagos State.
 
It was said that Churchill had first inserted his fingers into the victim’s private parts before having sex with her.

Two die, one arrested in supermarket robbery

One armed robbery suspect was on Saturday shot dead after a gun duel with the police during a robbery operation that took place in a supermarket at the Ikot Effa area of Calabar, Cross River State.

Two robbery suspects were also arrested in the process while four others were said to have escaped. One of the arrested suspects, was said to have later died.
