Customs officials at Lebanon airport seize half a ton of radioactive fenale sanitary pads



A half ton shipment of radioactive sanitary products has been discovered by customs officials at a Lebanon airport.
Around 30 crates of feminine hygiene products were seized Friday at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut after electronic scanners detected radioactivity in the shipment.
Tests revealed the shipment, which weighed 554 kilograms, had more than 35 times the safe levels of radioactivity.
The sanitary pads had originated in China, and arrived at the airport Friday from Dubai, officials said.

Unknown gunmen abduct Emir of Bukuyum in Zamfara State

 
Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the Emir of Bukuyum, Mohammed Usman from his palace in Zamfara State.
 
The commissioner for information in the state, Ibrahim Magaji, confirmed the Emir’s abduction on Saturday.  Mr Magaji said the incident took place on Friday.
 
A spokesman of the State Police Command, Sunusi Amiru, also said the police’s rescue team was currently working to locate his whereabouts.

ISIS urges sympathizers in the United States to kill US military personnels

 
In a new online threat to American military personnel, the Islamic State has called on its members and sympathizers in the United States to kill 100 service members whose names, photos and purported addresses it posted on a website.
The group said that the personnel had participated in efforts to defeat it in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere.
“With the huge amount of data we have from various different servers and databases, we have decided to leak 100 addresses so that our brothers in America can deal with you,” the Islamic State’s so-called Hacking Division said in the web posting.

Islamic State has published a detailed travel guide for would-be recruits with information on how to get to Syria and what they should pack.
 
The 50-page manual called Hijrah, meaning 'holy emigration', includes details of safe houses and routes for Western wannabe jihadists and has been compared to a gap year travel guide.
 
Aimed specifically at young people, its full title is 'Hijrah to the Islamic State: What to pack up, who to contact and where to go. Stories and more!'
 
Published in English, it boasts that ISIS members 'live in Turkey in some peace because Turkey fears revenge attacks', enabling them to help ISIS recruits slip over the border into neighbouring Syria without being caught.

A 58-year-old mechanic, Sabitu Jimoh, has pleaded with an Alagbado Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve his 26-year-old marriage with his wife, Afusat, over threats to his life.
 
Sabitu, who lives at 39, Babsalam Street, Alagbado, Lagos, told the court that his wife wanted him dead.
 
Jimoh described his wife as a witch, alleging that she accused him of ‘spoiling’ her charm when he entered her room.
 
“She does not care for me, she stopped cooking for me 20 years ago. I have tried to manage her but I have realised that she cannot change.

Omotola condemns ''50 Shades of Grey's'' total ban by NFVCB, says film is meant for adult

 
Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, has condemned the recent ban of the Hollywood movie, ’50 Shades of Grey’ by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
 
The film was banned from Nigerian cinemas by the board because of scenes in the movie it said were not appropriate for the consumption of the general public.
 
She spoke on the ban while speaking on HipTV’s Trending programme, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported.
 
Omotola was of the opinion that the movie was made for a target audience obviously mature enough to consume the content.

Man kills friend in Enugu over N100 debt

 
Tragedy struck on Thursday at Orba, Udenu Local Govern­ment Area of Enugu State, when a middle-aged vulcaniser, Stephen Eze, al­legedly hacked his friend and business neighbour, Mr. Ikenna Anayo Omeje, to death over N100 debt.
A source stated that the suspect, Mr. Eze who hails from Edem Ani in Nsuk­ka Local Government Area and the deceased, Mr Omeje from Umuafia Orba in Udenu council, had been the best of friends for close to three years before the ugly incident.
According to the source, trouble started, when the de­ceased was said to have decid­ed to build his own shop few metres away from his friend’s workshop.

Rihanna Ex, Chris Brown is officially off probation


 

Finally Chris Brown can put his 2009 attack on Rihanna behind him, at least legally. Yesterday, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin ended his felony probation, more than six years after the R&B singer brutally attacked his then-girlfriend hours before the Grammy Awards..

Brown was 19 years old when he attacked Rihanna in a rented sports car after leaving a pre-Grammy Awards party. Brown fled the scene but turned himself in to police hours later and was subsequently charged with felony assault. Photos of Rihanna battered face later went viral on the internet, showing extensive injuries that a detective described in detail in a search warrant affidavit seeking phone records from both singers. 

First female Speaker of House of Reps, Patricia Etteh graduates from Buckingham University

 
Rt. Hon. Patricia Etteh, the first female to head the National House of Assembly as a Speaker, has graduated from the Buckingham University at age 61.
 
Patricia Etteh who was commonly referred to as an ''hair dresser'' held her graduation party yesterday.
 
Mrs. Etteh was in 2007, advised to step down as Speaker by her honourable colleagues amidst a scandal of over inflated price for the renovation of her official home and that of her deputy as well as the purchase of 12 official vehicles which amounted to N628M.  Another photo below.

Olubadan, Oba Samuel Odulana denies endorsing Mohammadu Buhari

 
The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana, has denied media reports that he endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari.
 
A prominent member of the Olubadan-in-Council, Chief Eddy Oyewole, had told the Yoruba Assembly summit held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday, that he had the authority of the Olubadan to direct “the sons and daughters of Ibadan to vote for Buhari.”
 
But in a rebuttal contained in a press release signed by his personal assistant, Chief Isiaka Akinpelu and made available to newsmen on Friday, Oba Odulana described the reported endorsement as “false and misleading” outright.
 

Mad woman gives birth to a beautiful baby girl at Agbara, Ogun State


Residents of Shodipo Estate, Agbara, Ogun state on Friday morning all trooped out to watch a healthy and beautiful baby girl brought to life by a female lunatic.

The incidence seemed bizarre to some who were amazed that a beautiful healthy baby was born by a lunatic while others believed it was simply a miracle from God.

It was gathered from eyewitnesses that she had allegedly fled to Shodipo for refuge after having four of her babies abducted by unidentified people.

Bobbi Kristina moved to medical rehab facility

 
According to CNN, The daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, in a medically induced coma after being found unresponsive in January, has been moved to a rehabilitation facility, a family source is said to have stated.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, had been at Emory University Hospital undergoing treatment. No details about the rehab facility were given.

Millions are hungry and the country is headed off a cliff and what we get is the President having weekly dinner with celebs at Eko Hotel. Mr. President should know that all entertainers in the country won’t amount to a spoon of water in the bucket of our population. I agree that our entertainers judging by recent behaviour are now seen as hungry men and women with insatiable appetite, but Mr. President, the larger part of the society are equally hungry and should be fed as well. Why feed just the entertainers? Isn’t that discrimination?

Police parade herbalist for defiling 12-year-old boy


 
A 75- year-old herbalist, Odinkemere Ogbuehi, from Abia State has been paraded by the police for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a twelve-year-old boy “through the anus.”

Commissioner of Police, JoshakHabila, who paraded the suspect in Umuahia on Friday with other suspected criminals, said that the incident occurred on March 8, 2015 .

According to police, the suspect allegedly “took the victim without the consent of the parents and had sexual intercourse with him through the anus for three good days.”

Traffickers caught smuggling nursing mother, children into Nigeria


Four notorious suspected human traffickers have been caught by the Immigrations Service, Oyo State Command, while allegedly attempting to smuggle a nursing mother along with her two-year-old son, nine girls, and a boy.

The suspects and their victims were apprehended at the Saki border, in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State. The four men were accused of involvement in a trafficking ring which was responsible for bringing in several foreigners, notably Beninois and Togolese, into the country without travelling documents.
