$1.69m Fraud Charge: Fred Ajudua freed by the court

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos today freed one time Lagos socialite and businessman Fred Ajudua, on charges of defrauding two Dutch businessman of $1.69M.

Ajudua who was standing trial alongside Alex Okorie were alleged by the EFCC to have deceived the victims by claiming that the money was for sundry payments to several government officials.

The case which have been in the court since 2003 was adjoined several times.  During the proceedings EFCC stated that the principal witnesses could not be produced because they refused to travel down to Nigeria.

Following this, Justice Kudirat Ajose then ordered that Ajudua be discharged of all charges.
