The House of Representatives Committee on Youth Development has endorsed the N4000 for the on-line registration of members of National Youth Service Corp.
Rep. Kamil Akinlabi who revealed this today while giving updates to the press said the fund would be used to install equipment in all NYSC offices nationwide.
He further explained that this chosen method of accessing call up letters on-line would be more efficient, less time consuming, less expensive and less risky because it will eliminate the risk of the students having to travel to their various schools to collect their call up letters.
He also explained that the consultants handling this project had handled similar projects for WAEC and JAMB and would be given five years to recoup back its investment. Because the arrangement is based on a PPP of build, operate and transfer basis. They will be responsible for the purchase, installation of all gadgets for this exercise in all 36 NYSC headquarters, FCT and in all Local Government Councils.
