Former President Obasanjo launches new book despite restraining order from the court

Despite a court order restraining former President Olusegun Obasanjo from launching his new autobiography ''My Watch'', the former President is said to be launching the book right now at Lagos Country Club Ikeja Lagos.

According to Sahara Reporters, President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have personally asked the former president to postpone the launching of the book to 2015 after the presidential election.  But Mr. Obasanjo was said to have told him that there is nothing new inside the book that was not already known in the public domain.

It will be recalled that Mr. Kashamu Buruji, a political ally to President Jonathan had gotten a court injunction restraining  the former president from publishing the book.

Obasanjo's lawyers was said to have advised him to go ahead with the book launch since the court order only restrained him from publishing the book and not from launching it.

Some of the dignitaries present at the book launch are, former VC of University of Lagos, Ibidapo Obe, Oby Ezekwesili and many others.
