A 19-year-old medical student, Catherine Cando has died from a liposuction treatment.
The part-time glamour model who won the Duran Beauty contest in October 2014 in Ecuador was given several prices including a new Aveo 2015 car, a smart tablet and a free cosmetic surgery treatment. Click the More below for more story.....
Miss Cando who had put off using the surgery treatment she won was coarse into utilizing it when judges in the competition complained and recommend she lose a little bit of weight.
According to Ecuadorian newspaper, El Telegrafo, she underwent the procedure at a private clinic on January 10, 2015 but died in the process.
The doctors involved have been arrested by the police to prevent them from fleeing the country.
A similar case happened in 2011 when a Brazilian model, Pamela Nascimento, 27, also died from liposuction surgery.
