The Islamic State today threatened to kill a Japanese and a Jordanian pilot in the next 24 hours if a jailed Jordanian female terrorist is not released.
A video which was uploaded on a jihadist website showed Japanese hostage Kenji Goto holding a photograph of captured Jordanian pilot, Ist Lt Mu'ath al-Kaseasben.
A voice, which is that of Goto warns that Jordan is blocking the Japanese release by failing to release Sajida al-Rishawi - a known suicide bomber who has been on death row since 2006. That both Goto and al-al-Kaseasbeh will be killed if al-Rishawi is not freed.
At the end, Goto said, '' I only have 24 hours left to live, the pilot has even less. please do not leave us to die.''
The female terrorist Sujida al-Rishawi was sentenced to death in Jordan for the 2005 terrorist attack which killed 60 people.
