North East coast of America on lockdown, 8000 flights to the North East cancelled, $500 fine on drivers caught on roads (photos)

North East coast of America is presently on lockdown with residents of five states barred from going outside as states of emergency is declared.
 
The states of emergency was prompted as a storm threatens to dump three feet of snow from New Jersey to Massachusetts.
 
The metro systems in both New York and Boston are currently shut.  Also any driver caught on roads already barred will be made to cough out $500 fine.  Bridges and tunnels have also been shut down in the hope  of presenting accidents.

Panicked residents have already cleared out stores in anticipation of days trapped behind huge drifts  of snow.
 
More than 7,700 flights in and out of Northeast were cancelled.
