Irikefe Don-Momoh will tomorrow gather at Daystar Christian Church Auditorium, Lagos for
her first year Memorial concert.

Speaking on the event, Kefee’s husband, Teddy Don-Momoh, explained the choice of the Daystar auditorium venue as the church was willing to host her memorial concert and celebrate one of their
own.
He also explained the choice of 5th
February as the date, saying “The 5th of February is always special to her
(Kefee). That’s the day she was actually born and she’s always giving birth to
new things, new projects that day. He said Kefee opened her kitchen, announced her foundation, dropped new albums on this particular day - her birthday. Se we just thought
decided to continue the theme, to continue that tradition in her
name"
He further announced that a new album
and DVDs of her recent works will be launched at the event as well. He said, "Apart from honouring her with our
presence, we will be having albums launched. Albums in terms of the DVD
collection of her video as well as the other half of the double album she
actually wanted to release. She had planned to release two albums,
the Beautiful and Chorus Leader. She was able to release the Chorus Leader but
the Beautiful album would be dropping by the grace of God on the 5th.
“We would also have "the Best of
Both Worlds". The Best of Both Worlds is a combination of the Chorus
Leader and the Beautiful, but this time, on DVD’’ he said.
Teddy added that the Kefee Memorial
event would be an annual affair. And the event will kick off at 4pm.
