Canadian police arrested 10 youths at Montreal Pierre Elliot
Trudeau International Airport last weekend who were suspected of wanting to go
to Iraq and Syria to join the Islamic States.
An official confirmed the arrests yesterday but did not have
further details. The Royal Canadian
Mounted Police later issued an official statement confirming the arrest of the
10 young Montreal residents.
The official said the youths were suspected of trying to
jojn ISIS. The RCMP said no charges have
been brought against them but that investigation is ongoing. All 10 young persons had their passports
confiscated.
The RCMP said it was unable to disclose their identity for
now to protect their families.
