Sisters arrested for trying to smuggle marijuana to brother in prison

Two sisters, Shade Oyetobi and Atinuke Adebanwo are currently in police net for attempting to smuggle wraps of marijuana to their brother Babatunde Oyetobi, an awaiting trial inmate who is being held in a holding cell for awaiting trail inmates.  Babatunde was arrested for street fighting and has been in prison custody for the past two years.

One of the sisters, 24-year-old Shade said the marijuana was given to her by Jamiu  one of  Babatunde's friends.

She said, ''Actually it was my brother's friend, Jamiu who sells wristwatches who gave me the stuff this morning.  Jamiu called me on the telephone and give me the drug.  I don't know where they sell marijuana, I don't know how much they sell it and I don't smoke marijuana.''

The other sister Adebanwo said she was not a party to the whole arrangement, that she was not aware of what Shade was carrying inside the nylon bag.

The Warder, Mr. A.R. Muhammed said the sisters hid the drug in a nylon bag concealed with a pair of slippers.  Mohammed said the sisters had come saying they wanted to see their brother when asked to declare their mission.  They arose suspicion when the sisters refused to allow them to see what was inside the nylon bag instead opting to leave without seeing their brother but the prison authorities insisted on seeing the content of the bag and the marijuana was discovered hidden inside.
