Nigerian military recaptured Adamawa towns, lecturer undergoing interrogation for having links with Boko Haram

According to a statement posted on the Nigerian Military twitter handle yesterday, it stated that the towns of Gombi, Hong and Pelia have been recaptured by the Nigerian military troops.  Also, it said during the confrontation between the military and Boko Haram, many of the insurgents were killed and others arrested.  Arms and ammunitions were recovered.
 
A security source said the military authorities had carried out a huge deployment of personnel for the mission to liberate the communities in the area.


It was learnt that a lecturer of the department of Islamic Studies, College of Education Hong, Adamawa State is currently being interrogated by the military for having links with the Boko Haram.
 
Nigerian troops with large number of armoured personnel carries and tanks have advanced to Mraraba, Michinka and Mubi to carry out border patrol operations.
