Mum seen trying to sell own son to pay for twin daughter's cancer treatment

A mum in the Eastern Shandong Province, Eastern China was seen on the street with a placard offering to sell her son to the highest bidder.

The struggling 29-year-old mum, Meng Xiangyan was seen on the street as she tries to raise money by selling her twin son for the treatment of the other twin (girl) who has is said to be suffering from Leukaemia.

She said: "Up until a year ago we had a wonderful family and we thought we had everything we could need with a wonderful little boy and a wonderful little girl who are twins.

"But all that changed when my daughter was diagnosed as suffering from leukaemia in August of last year and we spent all of our savings and borrowed everything we could from friends and relatives.

“It still wasn't enough, and now we are hoping to raise cash from the sale of our son."

Though the mother said she and her husband loved both children, she said their daughter would most certainly die unless they could get urgent medical treatment for her.

The family is said to have sold up their apartment and everything in it and are now living in a 10sqm flat.

This plight follows a similar story of a woman who was also spotted trying to sell her baby daughter  on the street of China in other to pay for her husband's $10,000 medical bill.
