An Air China flight
today made an emergency landing at an
airport in China's southwest Chongqing province after a passenger claimed to
have explosives on board.
The plane was travelling from Nanning, capital of China's southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to Beijing.
As soon as the plane landed, police, ambulances and fire engines were brought
in, state-run China Radio International reported.The plane was travelling from Nanning, capital of China's southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to Beijing.
Three passengers were
taken in by police for questioning. The remaining passengers continued their
journey on to Beijing after a security check.
