Air China plane makes an emergency landing after a bomb scare

An Air China flight today made an emergency  landing at an airport in China's southwest Chongqing province after a passenger claimed to have explosives on board.

The plane was travelling from Nanning, capital of China's southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to Beijing.
As soon as the plane landed, police, ambulances and fire engines were brought in, state-run China Radio International reported.

Three passengers were taken in by police for questioning. The remaining passengers continued their journey on to Beijing after a security check.
