Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun, the
Nigerian whose extradition was sanctioned by a Federal High Court, Abuja on
March 9, 2015, is on his way to the United Kingdom.
Kekere- Ekun left Abuja, Nigeria in the early
hours of Tuesday March 24, 2015 enroute to London, where he is to be prosecuted
for murder related offences.
Justice A. R Mohammed gave the nod for
Kekere- Ekun's extradition after his lawyers dropped their objection to the
extradition request brought by the office of the Attorney General of the
Federation.
Kekere-Ekun is wanted by the UK government for the murder of one Marcus Hall, an 18-year-old who was beaten and stabbed to death 14years ago following a brawl outside a night club in Luton, England.

Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun He had fled the UK in a bid to
escape prosecution for the offence. But the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, arrested him in Nigeria a few weeks ago for identity theft
related offence. Following his arrest, an extradition request was filed by the
UK government.
