Chrristopher Rober Kling, 22
Christopher Robert Kling, 22, was arrested after
cops were shown footage of him allegedly exhaling the fumes into the
youngster's mouth.
Officers
arrived at the home of Kling’s estranged wife in Beaverton, Oregan, at around
11pm on Sunday, policeman Mike Rowe told the Daily News.
Police say they were called in response to reports
of a domestic disturbance and intervened to calm down a verbal altercation
between the pair.
Kling was permitted to return to his own home
before the disturbing footage was handed over to them by a friend of the
family.
He explained to the officers
that he was concerned for the child’s safety because he had seen Kling blowing
pot smoke into the infant’s mouth,” Rowe said. “He had told officers that that
wasn’t the first time he’s seen that happen.”
Kling was arrested on suspicion
of endangering the welfare of a minor, Officer Rowe said.
The video allegedly shows the
infant coughing with smoke exiting his mouth, according to court documents.
Kling was charged on Monday
with three felony counts of application of a controlled substance to a minor,
Officer Rowe said.
He is currently being held at
Washington County Jail
