By now, you've undoubtedly heard and seen Kim’s new hair
do! Blonde!
But what yo don’t know is why she decided to go blonde or
who inspired the look!
While speaking with People magazine about her new
bleached-out 'do, she explained that it was the original Material Girl,
herself, Madonna who inspired her to hit the peroxide.
"I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum
hair in my references folder on my computer, and I've been waiting a long time
to try the look," she told the mag. "I thought, 'what better time
than right now for Paris Fashion Week?'"
As for whether KK's feelings of admiration towards
Madonna are mutual... they are! Well, kind of.
Madonna recently told the New York Daily News that
Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, is the new her. Literally: Her actual,
in-third-person quote was, "Kanye is the new Madonna. Kanye is the black
Madonna."
Of course, her comment had nothing to do with hair. She
was really referring to West's ability to cause commotions in the public
sphere, much like she's done throughout her several-decades-long career.
"We know, and recognize, that we have that in
common," she said of Yeezy, who helped out on three tracks of her new
album. "We're comrades in the envelope-pushing genre."
