The South East will remain in the opposition

 
The PDP members from the South East at a crucial meeting they had at the residence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Enugu have all resolved to remain in the opposition party, PDP.
 Among those who attended the meeting where Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, Minister for State Col. Augustine Akobundu, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Senator Eyinnaya Abariba, Senator Gil Nnaji etc,
The group spokesperson, Col. Augustine Akobunde,  who is also the National Vice Chairman of PDP South East, while addressing the press shortly after the meeting said they were resolute in remaining in the party and that they are not contemplating moving to either the APC or any other party.

He said, ‘’Everything that we need to do to deliver the goodies that our people deserve in the Zone, we can bring though a very solid platform of negotiation.’’
We voted for a party that integrated us into the mainstream of Nigerian politics, elected/appointed our people into strategic offices, and addressed some of our major infrastructural challenges.  We took a principled position and accept full responsibility for our political choices.’’
