Ebola: Health care worker who treated Liberian Thomas Duncan tests positive to Ebola

According to the BBC, the Texas health worker who treated the Liberian Thomas Duncan has tested positive to Ebola.

According to Dr. David Lakey, Commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services, ''we knew a second case could be a reality, and we have been preparing for this possibility''


The health worker who has not been named treated the US index case Thomas Duncan who caught the virus in his native Liberia and died at a Dallas hospital.

The current Ebola outbreak has resulted in more than 8,300 confirmed and suspected cases and 4,033 deaths.
