Synagogue: The bodies of 66 South Africans who died in the collapsed synagogue church building have been taken home

66 bodies of South Africans who died during the collapsed building at the Synagogue Church of all Nation have been taken home to South Africa.

The bodies were taken from both the Isolo General Hospital and the Main Land Hospital Yaba.

The South African team who shunned our local facilities arrived the country in two aircraft which brought in four forensics, pathologists, trucks, generators, water buses, pick up vehicles and every other thing they will need for the identification and evacuation of the bodies.

Country foremost pathologist, Prof. Obafunwa said the Federal Government should take a clue from the  South Africans.  That they came with all the necessary tools that they needed to do their job.  He said apart from the Forensic Science Laboratory provided by Lagos State Government, no other one is available in the whole of Nigeria.  He said with the assistance of the Lagos State Government and the Forensic laboratory provided by them it was easy to tell the South African government to come pick up the bodies of the dead already identified.

The victims were identified through DNA analysis.
