Malala Yousafzai receives the Norway's Nobel Peace Prize

Miss Malala Yousafzai, the 17-year-old school girl from Pakistan is the youngest ever recipient of this award. 
 
During her acceptance speech, she said, '' I tell my story, not because it is unique, but because it is not,'' as she received the award in Oslo's City Hall on the anniversary of Swedish Industrialist Alfred Nobel's death.
 
Malala who is receiving the prize at a tender age of 17years jokingly said,  ''I am pretty certain that I am also the first recipient of the Nobel Prize who still fights with her younger brothers.''
 
 
 
 

 Arriving in Norway with friends and young activists from Pakistan, Syria and Nigeria, Malala met thousands of children, walked the streets to greet supporters and will be opening an exhibit where her blood stained dress which she worn when her school bus was attacked is put on display.
 
Miss Yousafzai was attacked by the Taliban in Pakistan in October 2012 when a Taliban gunman boarded her bus and shot her in the head.  A bullet narrowly missed her brain.  She was taken to British Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where she underwent several surgeries.
