Tinubu snubs Buhari, wants to be Vice President

According to Sahara Reporter, former governor of Lagos State, Ahmed Tinubu has refused to see reasons by presenting a Muslim/Muslim ticket might not augur well for the overall interest of the APC.

Tinubu has refused to nominate any other name for the Vice President position stating that he is personally interested in becoming the Vice President of Nigeria.  The national leader of the APC last shunned a general caucus meeting of the party in Abuja because of hostility by state governors in the party towards his ambition.

He had previously made it known to Sahara Reporters that a s a great mobilizer, he is the best candidate for the VP slot.  But his position is said to be at variance with the position of the party who had decided against fielding a Muslim/Muslim ticket for the presidential election.

The party chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun has however submitted 10 names to Buhari for his consideration.  Telling Buhari to choose whomsoever he deem fit as his running mate.

Buhari has reached out to Tinubu to nominate three names for him to choose from.  But Tinubu it is said has refused.
