April Rollison, 31, was arrested in Babson Park for drug possession along with three other people. During a body scan, two foreign objects were spotted inside her body cavity. She was then taken to Barlow Regional Medical Centre to have the foreign object removed.
It is believed while the nurse was trying to fetch a bedpan, Rollison pulled a bottle hidden inside her vagina and ingested some of the cracks concealed inside.
She later went into medical distress as she was being taken back to jail. She was rushed back to the hospital where she remained in critical condition for a week until she passed away.
An autopsy revealed methamphetamine, amphetamine, cocaine and marijuana in her body.
Family members stated that Rollison had been using drugs since the age of 12 and that they had not had any contact with her for two years.
Police also said the 31-year-old had a long lists of arrests on drug charges.
