Mel B's daughter Phoenix have spoken out in defence of her stepfather Stephen Belafonte, saying through her twitter handle that everyone should chill, that Stephen never hit her mother and that she doesn't know how that stupid rumour came to be.
The 15-year-old made the above statement in response to criticisms that a photo of herself and Stephen which he posted on instagram, of them doing their last minutes shopping on Christmas Eve.
In the photo Stephen could be seen smiling for the camera while Phoenix pulled a funny face. And he wrote ''me and @phoenix getting last minute Christmas Shopping done.''
Stephen who was accused of hitting Mel B when she appeared on X Factor on Sunday December 14 with what appeared to be bruises and scratches on her arm, face etc., has denied doing so.. He said if he was the cause of the bruises and scratches, both the hospital and police would have asked questions. But so far, none of them have accused him of such.
