Islamic State religious police have been filmed beating musicians and destroying their instruments as punishment for playing ''unislamic'' keyboard.
The men were pictured being beaten on their back and legs with a wooden stick in a public square after ISIS fanatical Islamic enforcers ruled that their electronic keyboard was ''unislamic''.
Another picture showed the keyboard and a lute smashed to pieces. According to test posted alongside the pictures, it state the musicians were punished with 90 lashes alongside a man caught impersonating a ''hisbah''.
Also, a man caught smuggling cigarette was also sentenced to receive 50 lashes.
Since taking control of parts of Syria and Iraq, ISIS claims he have formed a caliphate and has take to enforcing strict sharia laws. Thieves are regularly pictured having their hand or arms amputated in public squares while adulterers have been seen executed.
Just few weeks back a man was seen being thrown from a high building in Raqqa after being accused of being gay.
