Saudi Arabia beheads another drug trafficker

Saudi Arabia has again beheaded a convicted drug trafficker.  This new beheading will make it the 77th state execution in the oil-rich kingdom this year despite international concerns.
 
Nasser bin Amiq Ali al-Inzi was convicted of trying to smuggle “a large amount” of amphetamines into the country, the interior ministry said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.  He was beheaded in the northern Jawf region.
 

Nigerian Troops get hold of list of communities to be attack by Boko Haram

Nigerian troops have been able to get hold of documents containing list of communities which the insurgents plan to attack, from fleeing terrorists in Adamawa State.
 
The troops also succeeded in killing 27 of the terrorists during a battle to get rid of insurgents in the area.
 
During exchange of gunfire at Hildi, Adamawa State, 7 of the terrorists were also killed while rifles, hundreds of rounds of ammunitions as well as bow and arrows were recovered from them. 

 

Updates on the children abducted by their house maid

More updates has emerged as regards the maid who abducted her employer’s two children from their residence at Gateway Crescent in Magodo, isheri area of Lagos.
 
 
Her name has been given as Juliet and her age 24 years.  She fled with the kids –Rafael (3) and Michael (15 months) on Sunday after the parents of the children, Mrs. Onajite Esharegharan and her husband Elvis went out for shopping .  Juliet, the house made was instructed by the parents of the children to put them to sleep.
 

 

Homosexual murders his partner in a hotel for not paying him for second round of sex

Mohammed Umar, an alleged gay is presently at the police station explaining what happened between him and his homosexual sex partner, Mohammed Snu whom he was said to have stabbed to death at a hotel in Garki, Abuja.
 
the story gathered is that the deceased had invited the suspect to the hotel for sex.  But the whole arrangement turned sour when the deceased refused to pay the suspect for the second round of sex they had together.

Prince William and his wife , Kate, who are on a three-day visit to the United States have been having a wonderful time. 
 
Earlier in the day, the Prince met with Barack Obama in the White House, gave a speech at a World Bank Anti-Corruption Conference, then flew and reunited with his wife and together the couple attended a reception at the British Consul General's residence to recognise the work of the Tusk Trust.
 
They later finished the day at their first NBA game where they met BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z.  They smiled, exchanged pleasantries with people before settling down on their seat with a box of popcorn and bottles of water.  Meanwhile Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce sat opposite them.
 
 


Former EFCC Boss, Nuhu Ribadu is PDP Governorship Candidate for Adamawa Sate

The former Chairman for EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu had won the  governorship ticket of PDP in Adamawa State.

Mr. Ribadu who beat six other contestant to emerge as the party flag bearer pulled 88 votes, while governor Ngilari got 26 votes.  Awwal Tukur, son of former Chairman of PDP, Bamarga Tukur got 24 votes, Ahmed Modibbo got 30 votes, Marcus Gundiri got 33 votes and Retired General Aliyu Kema got 3 votes.


Former Minister for Information, Labaran Maku suffers defeat in Nasarawa State

Former Minister for Information, Labaran Maku suffered a terrible defeat yesterday at the PDP gubernatorial primary that was held at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa.

Mr. Maku was defeated by an upcoming politician, Yusuf Agabi.

At the end of the votes count, supervised by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara which saw Agabi garnering 214 votes to defeat Labaran Maku with mere 160 votes.


Jimi Agbaje wins Lagos State PDP governorship primary marred with controversy

Mr. Jimi Agbaje, a pharmacist, entrepreneur, has emerged as the PDP Lagos State governorship candidate for next year's gubernatorial election.

He defeated former Minister for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro with 432 votes as against Obanikoro's 346 votes.  The other aspirants, Babatunde Gbadamosi got 21 votes, Tokunbo Kamson 46 votes and Adedeji Doherty 21 votes.

Forner Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike wins Rivers State PDP governorship primary

The former Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike today emerged the governorship candidate on the PDP platform in Rivers State.  The primary which was said to have been very peaceful was conducted at the Community Secondary School, Nkpolu Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
 
Wike polled a total of 1,083 votes, while Dumbari Dimkpa came second with a mere 21 votes, West Ibinabo got 3 votes while Emmanuel Georgewell and Tee Maeba got 1 vote each.

Boko Haram cameramen captured in Adamawa State

The Nigerian troops have captured some professional cameramen who are said to be experts in photographing, video recording and filming and working for the Boko Haram sects.

These cameramen photographs, film and video the attacks of the sects on communities and other atrocities they commit against innocent people.


The Ugandan nanny who tortured a toddler pleads guilty in court

Ugandan nanny Jolly Tumuhirwe, who was caught on camera viciously beating and kicking 18-month old Arnella Kamanzi, today in court pleaded guilty to torture.
 
Police originally said they would charge Tumuhirwe with attempted murder, but State prosecutor Joyce Tushabe today said she felt remorse and would be charged with torture charge alone.
 
“She said she was sorry for the act. She asked for forgiveness from the parents of the child, the nation, and those she said were affected by her acts,” said Tushabe.

Take bribe at the airport and go to jail for 5 years

According to the ICPC Chairman, Mr. Nta Ekpo, he said the era of impunity and other illegal practices at the nation’s international airports are over.  He disclosed this during a programme which was aired by AIT.
 
The Chairman warned airport workers and travellers who are in the habit of soliciting for bribe and giving same to desist from such acts.
 

Ashaka Update: 67 Boko Haram terrorists killed during the fierce battle with troops

67 terrorist members of the Boko Haram sect were said to have been killed during the battle at the Ashaka Cement Plant, Gombe between them and the Federal troops.
 
The terrorists invaded the Ashaka town with the intention of taking it over, with a large number of their members, large equipment and a convoy of over 30 vehicles and motorcycles.
 
 

Young Nigerian doctor who went missing in the US found

The young Nigerian doctor, Fehintola Omidele, 25, who was said to have gone missing on Sunday in Houston, Texas has been found.
 
The family reported Fehintola Omidele missing after they found the young woman's cell phone, ipad in her room.  But her purse and Toyota car were no where to be found and she was said not to have also checked in for work at the Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.
 
Dr. Fehintola Omidele was said to have phoned her sister at about1pm to let her know she was OK. 
 
The reason for her disappearance is yet to be made know to the public.

France admits ownership of the impounded plane by authourities at the Aminu Kano International Airport

The impounded Autonov 124 Russian commercial plane which was seized on Saturday at the Aminu Kano International Airport belongs to France.
 
The French ambassador to Nigeria released a statement saying the plane had to divert to an alternative and nearest airport in other to refuel.  He denied that the plane was carrying arms and ammunitions.  Instead that the plane had two light Gazelle helicopter, spare parts and maintenance items on board which all belong to the French Army.
