Four Eiye Confraternity members Oluwole Seye (18), Olayinka Andrew (18), Tobi Akindolapo (17) and Ayomide Akinbinu (18) are cooling off at the police station for allegedly gang raping 16-year-old Jolade in Ondo State.
According to the victim, Jolade, her boyfriend, Oluwole Syei (18), had invited her to a night party in Ondo town. But unknown to her, the boyfriend had arranged with three of his friends to commit the dastardly act.
On getting to the said party, the victim was said to have become apprehensive when there was no sign that a party was in the offing. She also raised eyebrows over the mode of dressing of her boyfriend and his friends who were all putting on black trousers, black shirts and red scarfs on their heads. But she got less worried when she noticed that another lady was also present in the house.
She said the boys suddenly pounced on her and the other girl and the four of them had canal knowledge of them. She also revealed that her boyfriend was the first to rape her before the others took their turn.
According to the Ondo State Police Command Image Maker, Wole Ogodo, the four arrested rapists were among 14 suspected cultists arrested in the state. He said they confessed to being part of the Eiye Confraternity and that they were trying to initiate them into the Eiye group.
The suspects who had made confessional statements will all soon be charged to court, he said.
