Our faith allows raping underaged girls - ISIS publish book telling fighters how to buy, sell and abuse captured women

Islamic State (IS) has published a shocking guidebook for its fighters on how to rape captured slave girls – even if they have not reached puberty.

 

The book titled Questions and Answer on Taking Captives and Slaves, published by the Research & Fatwa Department of IS instruct them on how to buy, sell women and girls who have been captured in war; and give them as gifts to one and another.

 

 

It was distributed by masked IS fighters outside mosque on Friday and was also on twitter handles of senior IS leaders.

The document was obtained by the Washington based Middle East Media Research Institute and translated into English.

 

In the guide, one question ask, ‘’Is it permissible to have intercourse with a female slave who has not reached puberty?’’

The response says. ‘’ it is permissible to have intercourse with the female slave who hadn’t reached puberty, if she is fit for intercourse.’’

 

Another asks: ‘Is it permissible to sell a female captive?’ The response is: ‘It is permissible to buy, sell, or give as a gift female captives and slaves, for they are merely property, which can be disposed of.’

 

 

The document says that all ‘unbelieving’ women, including Jews and Christians, can be taken as captives and sold as slaves. However, it prohibits the enslavement of Muslim women, even if they have become apostates.

 

The pamphlet allows masters to beat their female slaves, but only as a disciplinary measure, and not as a source of gratification. The master is also forbidden from beating his slave-girl on the face.

 

There have been widespread reports of IS fighters raping female captives, which has become part of the anti-ISIS propaganda.

 

IS fighters have taken thousands of women and children as captives from the minority Yazidi sect in Iraq.  UN report states that these women and children were sold in Syria to IS fighters or given as gifts to their leaders as sex slaves.
