Nathan Lloyd, 22, took revenge on his ex for jilting him by posting a photograph of her posing in her underwear on her own instagram and then changed the password so she could not remove the picture.
Prosecutors also heard that Nathan also posted a video of some sort of sexual nature onto her page.
Nathan admitted breaking the Telecommunications Act by posting the image and video and is awaiting sentencing later at Haverford West Magistrates Court.
For now, he is on bail on condition that he will not use any social networking sites before his next court date.
The UK government has pledged to tackle revenge porn as reported cases have been on the increase.
Anybody convicted on revenge porn - distribution of a private sexual image of someone without their consent and with the intention of causing them distress, could face up to two years in prison under the new law.
The first person to be prosecuted and jailed for revenge porn in the UK is Luke King, 21, of Nottingham. After splitting up with his girlfriend, Luke then used her naked picture on his Wahtsapp as his profile picture. He was jailed 12 weeks.
