Show your Land Use Charge receipts - Fashola to Jimi Agbaje

If you recall, some days ago, the governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola said the governorship candidate of the PDP, Jimi Agbaje should not be seeking election to be governor of Lagos State because he has refused to perform his civic obligation to Lagos State by refusing to pay his Land Use Charge (LUC). 

 

But Jimi Agbaje’s camp replied Fashola saying Fashola and other APC chieftains are merely after him because they can no longer stand the heat.   

While speaking at APC’s Epe rally yesterday, Fashola quickly diverted to the issue and challenged Jimi to come forth with his receipts if he knows he has truly paid. 

 

He said, “It is not that I hate him (Agbaje). But this is not a personal issue. This is an issue that concerns the development of Lagos State. I am saying this without mincing words. His pharmacy has not paid land Use Charge for year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012; it amounts to N1, 629, 064.62.” 

 

“I didn’t say you did not pay two years Land Use Charge, LUC you did. But you have four years unpaid LUC. If you have paid all your LUC, please publish your receipt,” Fashola said.
