A team led by an alumnus of Florida Atlantic University, United State, Olumide Adenmosun has validated and adapted a methodology that will enhance the Ebola virus gene application in 30 minutes.
This, according to him, is being done together with some other Nigerian scientists and health groups largely involved in the containment of the country’s Ebola outbreak.
The team is collaborating with Dr. Yemi Adesokan, a Harvard University-trained scientist and founder of a Swiss medical diagnostic firm, Bioinnovation Solutions; and chemicals manufacturing firm, May & Baker, to develop and commercialise rapid genetic diagnostic test for Ebola screening and bio-surveillance.
