On Thursday, 16th October 2014, a 32 year old man Terkura Lorpu was arraigned before a magistrate court in Benue State for raping and infecting two young children aged six and eight years with the HIV virus.
This evil deed was revealed when people noticed that the children were walking in an unusual manner were then taken to a hospital in Makurdi the State capital. Upon medical examination it was discovered that both had be forceful defiled and later tested positive to HIV.
The children when interview said Terkura Lorpu, who is their mothers lover had raped them.
The accused has been ordered to be remanded in prison until October 4 for further hearing.
