A woman, Ebele Awinonu is among suspects that were paraded by the Anambra State Police Command today.
Ebele Awinonu is accused of selling her one month old baby boy for N200,000 to a child trafficking syndicate. The Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Uche Ezeh said Ebele and others were apprehended on her way to complete the transaction at Ihiala.
The State Command also paraded bodies of suspected kidnappers who were killed in a shootout with the Police on their way from collecting ransom from the family of one of their victims they kidnapped at Oba in Idemili Local Government Area of the state.
Also amongst them, was a woman who claimed to be a Deputy Superintendent of Police and was involve in extorting illegal fees from people.
