The Glaswegian nurse, Pauline Cafferkey who was diagnosed with the Ebola virus after returning to the UK from Sierra Leone is said to be in critical condition by authorities.

The 39-year-old nurse who is being treated at the Royal Free London Hospital since last week was reportedly sitting up and talking until the past two days when her health detoriated into critical condition.

Miss Cafferkey returned to Britain last Sunday after spending five weeks in the West African country with other volunteers.

At the airport, she was questioned upon which she complained of fever, but she was cleared to board her connecting flight to Glasgow after having her temperature taken seven times.

Hours after she arrived her final destination, she was however rushed to an isolation unit before being transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in Northern London.
