Children reunite with their father after 8 years of abandonment
The three children Titilola, Seun and Seyi whom their father abandoned in a boarding school for eight years finally got their prayers answered when their father Segun Adepegba visited them at the school on Friday.
Emotions ran wild when children and father reunited with Adepegba promising never to abandon them again.
Last week Punch carried the story of how a father Segun Adepegba abandoned his children Seun 14, Titilola 13 and Seyi 10 at a boarding school for eight years without coming to see them or a phone call to ask after their welfare.

One of those campaigning to be governor of Rivers State was the contractor who was meant to build a road in Rivers State, he abandoned the road, took the N3 billion and left.
These were the words of Governor Rotimi Amaechi yesterday at the rally held at the Amesiemake stadium to celebrate the seventh year anniversary of him as the governor of the state.
He said he single handedly built the 40,000 capacity stadium where the rally took place. He used the opportunity to thank the justices of the Supreme court for delivery the judgement that brought him in as governor in 2007.

51 year-old mother arrested with 1.7kg of cocaine
An official statement from the NDLEA's head of Public Affairs, Ofoyeju Mitchell states that a 51year old single mother was arrested during an outward screening of passengers on an Emirate flight to China.
According to the agency, the mother of four, Muyinotu Alade hid the drugs in a body cream bottle. During a search, she was discovered to have with her 150 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.725kg and 150 wraps of heroin weighting 1.712kg. In her statement the suspect said she was offered $4000 to smuggle the drugs into China.

I was treated like a criminal, Nurse who returned yesterday from treating Ebola patients in Sierra Leone
American nurse Kaci Hickox who arrived Liberty Newark Airport in New Jersey yesterday from Sierra Leone said she was treated like a common criminal at the airport.
Kaci was a nurse with Doctors without Borders in Sierra Leone. One of the countries hardest hit by the Ebola crises.
On arriving at the airport she said she met a scene of chaos and suspicion, where officials left her in the dark and forcefully bundled her into an emergency motorcade to a hospital.

TB Joshua and contractors to appear before the court Nov. 5
Following the collapse of a six-storey building within the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, killing more than 150 people, 82 of them South Africans, the founder and General Overseer of the church, Prophet T.B. Joshua, is to appear before the coroner, Mr Oyetade Komolafe, sitting at the Ikeja High Court, Lagos State.

Prophet Joshua will appear on November 5, along with the contractor in charge of the collapsed building.
Komolafe, during the sitting of the court on Friday, stated that the appearance of the church’s founder was important to the findings of the court. Though, counsel for the church, Mr. Jude Nnadi (SAN), argued that the appearance of the pastor would not be necessary as he was not an eyewitness, Komolafe insisted that Joshua must appear. The coroner, who said he had heard that Joshua had addressed the press at various times, said the pastor must also appear before the court to give evidence.
The reason for the Washington DC school shooting might be because of a ''girl''
The motive(s) of the gunman who carried out the shooting at the Washington DC high school yesterday still remains unclear as three of four fellow students he shot lay critically ill at the hospital.
The gunman, identified as 14-year-old Jaylen Fryberg, opened fire with a .40-calibre handgun inside the school cafeteria on Friday, shooting the students at close range before killing himself. An unidentified teenage girl was killed in the attack. Three of the four wounded suffered head injuries, including 15-year-old Andrew Fryberg, who is the gunman's cousin. He is also listed in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The fourth victim, 14-year-old Nate Hatch, also Fryberg's cousin, was shot in the jaw and is in serious condition at Harborview.
