It is revealed that Oscar Pistorius may be denied early release from prison because he does not have an ankle to attach an electronic tag.
The Paralympian, 27, was given a five-year sentence for the manslaughter of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria South Africa.
He had hoped to qualify for a home detention curfew with a tag after 10 months. But prison authorities have stated that Oscar is not eligible for their tagging scheme because he has no ankle to which they can attach the device. And that putting such tags on offenders wrist is out of the question because it can easily be removed. They also said such tags cannot be used on false limbs because such limbs can be left somewhere static while the offender goes missing.
He is currently kept in isolation in Pretoria's Mampuru prisons to prevent him from being attacked by gangs.
He wakes at 5.30am every day and is served a breakfast of porridge and coffee or juice. At midday, he is brought a basic meal, before slices of buttered bread and a hot drink at 4pm - the final meal of the day.
