Out going PDP governors reject deputies as successors

Thirteen outgoing governors of  PDP have all rejected the proposal for their deputies to succeed  them.  Some of these governors are those of Abia (Theodore Orji), Akwa Ibom(Godswill Akpabio), Bauchi (Isa Yuguda), Benue (Gabriel Suswam ), Cross River (Liyel Imoke), Delta (Emmanuel Uduaghan) and Enugu (Sulivan Chime).

Others are Jigawa (Sule Lamido), Katsina (Ibrahim Shema), Kebbi (Usman Dakingari), Niger (Babangia Aliyu), Ebonyi (Martin Elechi) and Plateau (Jonah Jang).

Instead they are rooting for their cronies like Chief of Staff, past commissioners or secretaries to their government to replace them.

However, few of the deputy governors have refused to be intimidated by this present situation and have gone ahead to purchase governorship nomination forms for next year's elections.  Some of the deputies who have gone ahead to purchase nomination forms are Steve Lawani (Benue), Musa Ibeto (Niger) and Prof. Amos Utuama (Delta).
