The April 14 2014 Nyanya bomb suspect Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche through his lawyer Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN) has asked the court to compel the Federal Government to pay him the sum of N100million as compensation for his unlawful detention.
Ogwuche insist that this continued detention in the custody of the Department of State Security amounts to a gross abuse of his fundamental human rights as stated in the 1999 constitution.
He also asked the court to order his immediate release pending when the Federal Government is ready to conduct his trial.
His lawyer, Raji, stated that his client was forcefully extradited to Nigerian from Sudan with the Federal Government not concluding its investigation before arraigning him in court.
It will be recalled that the court earlier struck out a three court charge that was filed against Ogwuche by the police for want of diligent prosecution.
