Forbes list of the 20 most powerful women in Africa, Ada Osakwe, Toyosi Akerele, Amy Jadesimi made the list

Every year, for the past three years, Forbes magazine releases names of young/powerful African women (40years and below) who have made impact in Africa.

For that of 2014, the 20 Young Power Women in Africa includes Nigeria own Ada Osakwe, Adiat Dis, Amy Jadesimi, Rimini Makama, Yasmin Bello Osagie and Toyosi Akerele.   Other Africans include Kenyan Naisula Lesuuda, Yvnne Khamati and Irene Koki Mutungi.  South Africans are Tebogo Meshego, Phumzile Van Damme, Naadiya Moosajee etc.


According to Forbes, these women are “20 young, extraordinary and inspiring African women, aged 45 and under, who are making the most dramatic impact in individual African countries in the world of politics, business, technology, policy, diplomacy and media. Meet the 2014 class of the 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa: the continent’s emerging power brokers, the Amazons to watch, and the custodians of tomorrow.”
